Little Linguists, Inc. believes that learning a foreign language should be fun. Infants acquire language through
interaction which involves repetition, playing, singing, acting out, reading, games and just plain silliness. We believe
that this is how a foreign language is best learned, too. Each class will have a variety of hands on learning experiences
that will last a lifetime.

Story time
Each class ends with a story that relates to the theme of
the class or the holiday surrounding our class. In winter we will read books about winter; during holidays we
will read books about holidays and so on.

Theatrics
Through role playing and drama the children will learn how
to converse in Spanish. They will learn basic questions and answers. During Los Posadas they will act out the
famous door to door parade during the Christmas holiday in Mexico. They will also have the opportunity to act out some
of their favorite classic children's stories.

Music
Children will be singing their language in no time with
fun children's songs indigenous to the language being taught. Language will be "taught" through songs at various times
of the semester. Holiday music in the native language also becomes an important part of instruction.
Crafts
Make a llama, a piņata, papel picado or a Spanish fortune
teller all the while learning about a fascinating culture and language. These are just a few of the crafts that we will
work on throughout the courses. Every holiday brings many opportunities to release our creative side and learn about
how other cultures celebrate and live.
Food!
Your child will become an expert on cho-co-la-te!
Class is not complete without the famous Mexican chocolate & churros. Depending on the particular class, the children
will experience authentic taquitos, guacamole, sopapillas, empanadas and other favorite treats of Latin America and Spain.

Games
Children learn through play!
The best way to learn a language is through interactions and through play. We have literally hundreds of children's
games of Latin America and Spain. Not only will the children increase their vocabulary, but they will learn about how
children live and play in many other countries.
In addition to the group/school yard games from the various
countries, we will play classic games like Twister, Scrabble, Monopoly Jr., Jr. Taboo, Memory all using Spanish vocabulary.
There are also some popular Spanish boardgames and cardgames that are available such as:
Quien es Quien? Who's Who?
Yo Veo- I spy Spanish
Canasta
El Ahorcado- Hangman
Fiesta!
At the end of each semester of classes we have a fiesta.
This includes sampling some of the foods of the region, playing games, listening to music and just having a great time celebrating
the culture we are studying.
